Forum Title: Well or hot water issues
I bought my house last year and having several issues after we had someone replace several Cooper pips in the basement, replaced the bathroom fixtures and replace the heating element in my electric hot water heater. 1. Only one of my bathroom showers will not get hot at all. My other bathroom shower does get hot. (What could be wrong?). 2. When I bought my house the bottom of the hot water heater had rust in it. We drained and flushed out the hot water heater. Everything worked great until several months later my water started to smell and does not taste that good. The outside spigot water taste good and does not have a smell. Do I need to replace my hot water heater? Thanks Nick

When you just have the hot water on it still don't get hot. It is just warm. How would I plug the cold water pipe. [QTE=speedbump;78062]You should see if only the hot water side will even run in the shower. In other words; does the water run on the hot side or is that pipe plugged?[/QUOTE]

when you drain a heater and try to flush out the sediments it is very hard to get it all. When you refill it, what's left gets agitated and possibly pushed up into your system. Kind of difficult to diagnose from here. If the heater is more than 10yrs old then replace it.
